EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT As executive vice president of Carlson Wagonlit Travelís Associate program, Roger E. Block is responsible for the company's franchise operations, including franchise development, industry relations and marketing. He reports to Michael Batt, president, Carlson Leisure Group. Previously, Block was vice president, Franchise Development & Marketing for the Associate program, with responsibility for franchise development, advertising, industry relations, and promotional programs. He joined Carlson in April 1997, following the acquisition of Travel Agents International by Carlson Leisure Group, the company which operates the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate program. Before joining Carlson, he was chairman, president and founder of T.A.I. He was responsible for the development and implementation of T.A.I.ís more than 300 North American franchise locations. Before T.A.I., Block was senior vice president, director and corporate treasurer of Community Banks of Florida, Inc., with responsibility for fund management of the Holding Company banks. He also served on the bank's lending committee, board of directors and executive committee. Block began his career with Community Banks as a management trainee and quickly advanced to vice president of Portfolio Management. Block holds a bachelor's of science degree in Finance from the University of Florida.
